Who We Are

HoyaTaxa is a Georgetown University student organization dedicated to providing free, professional tax preparation services to DC-area residents who may not be able to afford paid tax help. Undergraduates are eligible to volunteer and everyone is eligible to receive free tax assistance. That means students, international students, graduate students, faculty, community members, anyone!

Our volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, ensuring every return meets the highest accuracy standards.

Where We Serve

HoyaTaxa operates at a growing network of free tax preparation sites across the DMV area.

Each site is staffed by IRS-certified Georgetown student volunteers in partnership with Community Tax Aid, Montgomery County VITA, and the AARP Foundation.
